| The Gate House |
|---|
The Gate House is about 50 yards from the river and about a three minute walk from the Ghillie's Office and another 100 yards takes you to a choice of two restaurants and two bars at The Skeabost Country House Hotel if you don't have a willing cook in the party. The Gate House sleeps two anglers and is very well furnished and equipped. If you want more photos and details just ask . It's only £320 per week and is bookable from Sunday to Sunday. As Sunday is a non-fishing day in Scotland you can spend your time checking the river beats, talking to the staff in the Ghillie's Office and maybe sampling the local ale and malt whiskies in the hotel bar. |

It's a very pretty river not 40 yards from the Gate House. When you aren't fishing you don't have to go far to find other places of interest. On the left bank of this photograph is Saint Columba's Island, gathering place of the Bishops of the Isles from 1079 to 1498 and the clan burial ground of the Nicolson clan. For evenings when your catch of the day gives you an excuse to go out and celebrate you'll find you're not more than a few minutes drive away from several very fine restaurants like The Three Chimneys, The Loch Bay and The Harbour View, not to mention The Skeabost hotel which might take you three minutes to walk from The Ghillie's Office. For the odd day off from fishing the hotel also has the best golf course on the island should you be interested or perhaps the clay-pigeon shooting and horse-riding nearby might be preferred. |
| Coming Soon |
|---|
We've obtained planning permission to build a new fishing lodge which was to be completed in time for the 2009 season, but we're running very late as we've been distracted by another exciting project involving the installation of a water hydro scheme. When the lodge is eventually completed it will sleep 4 people in two twin bedrooms. It will be located right on the banks of the Snizort just 20 yards from the Ghillie's office and 100 yds from the Skeabost Hotel. Rates will be published later. |
| Interior of the Lodge |

Fully fitted kitchen with washing machine and dryer. Comfortable lounge area with TV and stereo.
